Knowledge is in fact the most strategic resource of an organization, the base of competition and revival both in competitive and non-competitive environments. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning skills are cornerstone for development practitioners not only to advance their careers in development but also to maximize the value delivered for the children, women, and men they serve.
Our trainer-facilitated online course will enable attendees of development practitioners to execute the functions and activities often required by the standard job description of a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning officer. It will also help them to apply for this position more competently and confidently.
Learning Outcomes
- Using results chain as an effective methodology for the logical design and management of development projects.
- How to differentiate between different types of results including spheres of control
- Increased knowledge on designing adequate Key Performance Indicators
- Increased understanding of the different types and usages of data collection tools
- Learning how to relate project’s results with evaluation criteria.
- Increased capacity to organize and commission project’s evaluation process
Delivery Format
- Course duration: 12 hours of interactive online sessions over 4 calendar weeks.
- Presentations, materials, and training instructions are in English.
- Attendees will engage with the evaluation content in an innovative and interactive way including peer to peer dialogue, open discussion, case studies homework and online assignments and quizzes.
- On average, we estimate participants should set aside 4-6 hours per week to complete this course
Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate of completion by the end of the course with
- 75% of attendance rate
- Submitting homework assignments.
- Passing quizzes.
