INTRODUCTION
Microsoft excel is a powerful spreadsheet that is easy to use and allows you to store, manipulate, analyse and visualize data. It also supports data bases, graphic and presentation features. It is a powerful research tool that needs minimum of teaching. It not only makes statistics enjoyable, it also brings live to numerical work.
This course gives practical experience in the use of Microsoft Excel for data summary, presentation and for other basic statistical work. It concentrates on areas where Excel really can excel, such as array functions. We look at data entry and management, pivot tables, and graphics

Practitioners in the area of Agriculture extension who include: NGO extension workers, National and County government employers from various ministries and departments and government authorities directly and indirectly involved in Agriculture extension work, Policy makers and officials from the private sector and farmers amongst others

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to turn their general Excel capabilities into skills in the use of Excel for data processing and basic statistical applications.
